Message from the Vice President for Student Affairs and Administration

Dear Hilltoppers,

As you reach the well-deserved Spring Break, take a moment to acknowledge the journey so far. This semester, you’ve undoubtedly celebrated significant successes, but you may have also navigated personal adversity and felt the weight of events unfolding in the world around us. In these moments, it's vital to pause and remember the good things in your life and the immense opportunities that earning your education at St. Edward's will open up for you—there is so much to be grateful for, even in the midst of challenges. I encourage you to use this break to rest, re-energize your spirits, and return ready to finish the semester strong.

Spring Break Safety Tips

  • Plan ahead: Share your travel plans with a trusted friend or family member and keep important contacts saved in your phone.
  • Stay aware of your surroundings: Whether you’re traveling or staying local, be mindful of where you are and who you’re with.
Take care of your health: Stay hydrated, get enough rest, and make choices that keep you and your friends safe.
  • Respect local laws and environments: Follow rules in the places you visit and be mindful of the communities around you.
  • Be mindful of travel considerations: Review travel guidelines and consult trusted resources to ensure a smooth journey and a safe return.
  • Look out for one another: Check in with your friends, trust your instincts, and ask for help if something doesn’t feel right.

Have a fun, relaxing, and safe Spring Break!

Warmly,
