Strengthening Our Revenue for Annual Expenses

Ongoing annual giving helps St. Edward’s fill critical gaps between the university’s operating budget and our tuition revenue, providing resources to mitigate tuition dependence while also pursuing strategic priorities.

Annual giving is also an immediate investment that impacts the lives of today’s students. Achieving our Strategic Plan 2027 goals requires active, ongoing investments from community members who care deeply about our progress toward becoming a Destination University for a More Just World.

School of Health Sciences Nursing Program ($2M)

A Nursing Program will become the banner offering of a new School of Health Sciences at St. Edward’s University. We seek partnerships and philanthropic investments to support the Nursing Program’s inaugural year.

Athletics ($5.25M)

Hilltopper Athletics has earned 81 Conference Championships, celebrated 118 All-Americans, 141 Academic All-Americans, and 120 Postseason Appearances. Annual giving supports the academic and athletic experiences that nurture student-athletes in heart, mind and body as we prepare them to make a difference beyond the hilltop. Donors help fund equipment needs, travel expenses, specialized training and more.

Annual Scholarships ($10M)

Scholarships alleviate the financial stress of college and invest in every student’s future. At St. Edward’s, they help us reach beyond our institutional resources to provide financial assistance for students with the greatest need — a $69 million investment in 2022.

Academic Excellence: The St. Edward’s Fund ($3.5M)

Unrestricted gifts allow the university the greatest flexibility in meeting our students’ most pressing needs. In recent years, this has also included emergency funding due to unexpected setbacks (like healthcare needs or food insecurity, for example).
