Funding New and Improved Campus Facilities
Our vibrant and inclusive hilltop home inspires learning, self-discovery and community.
One of the most common first impressions we hear about St. Edward’s is a deep love of our campus. This intrinsic connection to our hilltop home goes beyond our verdant location overlooking Austin’s city skyline. It’s inspired by a thoughtful blend of historic and contemporary buildings, majestic trees and open green spaces, tranquil gardens and fountains, abundant walking and biking paths, and comfortable gathering areas — all creating an atmosphere instilled with a sense of learning, community and place.
To fuel the goals of Strategic Plan 2027, we seek donors who will bring these defining characteristics to new and improved facilities that offer spaces for Hilltoppers to experience academic excellence and distinction, as well as our vibrant and inclusive campus.
School of Health Sciences ($45M+)
To meet local and national demands for accessible, equitable healthcare — and to provide students with an education that offers plentiful, meaningful opportunities for professional growth — the university will create a School of Health Sciences. Immediate and long-term needs for facilities include:
- Fleck Hall Renovations ($5M)
- New Facility for a School of Health Sciences ($40M+)
Mary Moody Northen Theatre (MMNT) Renovation and Expansion ($10M)
MMNT is the only arena theater in Austin, sitting at the heart of our campus with one of the best views of the city skyline. In 2022, the university celebrated 50 years of MMNT’s impact on our arts education. MMNT’s age — and desired growth for programming — necessitates investment.
Athletics Facilities ($35M+)
St. Edward’s University is poised to bring back Hilltopper Athletics so our talented student-athletes may reach peak performance as individuals and teams, and as champions for life. We seek these investments to support an ambitious plan to grow our athletics programs:
- Tennis Center ($10M+)
- Recreation and Athletics Center Expansion ($12M+)
- Recreation Pool Complex ($5M+)
- Turf Field and Track ($8M+)
