1. What’s your favorite thing about St. Edward’s?

The global emphasis at St. Edward’s sets it apart from other schools. Our students are exploring different cultures in countries such as France and Costa Rica, and participating in service projects in places such as in Uganda, India and Peru. When I walk around campus, I always hear students speaking multiple languages.

2. What's your favorite part of an application to read?

The essay is my favorite part of the college application. This is the chance for students to showcase who they are and emphasize aspects of their personality. Admission counselors are not necessarily looking for an epic adventure or sob story, but rather an authentic snapshot into who this student is, and how the student might fit on campus. Individuality, humor, excellent grammar and spelling, and appropriate use of vocabulary make or break a writing sample.

3. What is something that people don’t know about St. Edward’s?

The university's chief of police owns a goat — the school mascot for the Hilltoppers!
