1. What advice do you have for people applying to college?

Remember to visit the schools you're actively considering! It's sometimes hard to figure out from a distance how much the campus environment and size, professor teaching styles, extracurricular options, and even cafeteria food will impact your college experience. You'll probably be spending the next four years of your life in this one location, so be mindful of what matters to you.

2. Describe your idea of a perfect day in Austin?

In the early spring, I’d love to wake up to a sunny, 70-degree day. I’d take my dog Leona (a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix) to one of the many parks in Austin for some sniff-everything-and-run time, and afterwards, I’d swing by P. Terry’s to grab a burger for me and a dog treat for my pup. (Yep – some P. Terry’s locations offer complimentary dog treats!) Once I drop her off, I might head over to Dragon’s Lair to browse some comic books and Terra Toys to check out random gizmos and gadgets. I’d wrap up my day with some delicious basil fried chicken or bulgolgi tots from 101 by Teahaus. And because no perfect day is complete without dessert, I’d make a pit stop at Snow Monster.

3. What’s your favorite thing about St. Edward’s?

St. Edward’s is in such an amazing location! It feels a bit like a hidden, fairy-tale garden tucked inside a busy bustling city. Everything you’d look for in a vibrant city is all around us (music, restaurants, etc.), but SEU is in this beautiful, peaceful bubble.
