Love St. Ed’s? So do 3,000+ donors and volunteer alumni who give their time, treasure and talent every year to make our programs, buildings and classes great. You’re part of the philanthropy family on the Hilltop – so enjoy these events.

Philanthropy Week will take place in Spring 2019.

What is Philanthropy at St. Edward's?

If you love St. Edward’s, you’d love your donors.

The university is able to offer small classes, the best professors and great student opportunities using income from two main resources: tuition and charitable gifts.

Gifts of time, talent and treasure from donors and volunteers help us go above and beyond to provide amazing things like:

  • Scholarships
  • Mentorships or internships
  • Faculty and student research
  • Expert perspectives in class
  • New buildings (and improvements to existing facilities)
  • Campus Ministry programs
  • Campus Recreation and Athletics events
  • And more

What is Advancement?

The Office of University Advancement works with students, alumni, parents and friends of the university for three main reasons:

STUDENTS

The extended Hilltopper network wants to engage with students directly – we help create opportunities for them to speak in classes, offer internships, or serve as mentors in other capacities.

EDUCATION

We believe in the life-changing St. Edward’s education, but know that fundraising is necessary to help offer the scholarships and programs needed for students from all circumstances to succeed. For this reason, we request gifts of all sizes to support students and help to increase the value of the St. Edward’s degree.

HOLY CROSS COMMUNITY

St. Edward’s alumni and family members want to live out the Holy Cross value of community and lifelong learning -- even if they are far from the Hilltop. We provide organized service and social events through alumni chapters, regional networks and affinity groups, in addition to sponsoring events and resources to help the Hilltopper family with professional and personal development.
