Dr. Ralph J. Gohring is Adjunct Faculty, Ed.D. Leadership in Higher Education and Master of Science in Leadership and Change at St. Edward’s University.

Dr. Gohring has over 35 years of experience consulting with executives, managers, and work groups at all levels on strategic, business and operational planning. He has extensive experience in the leadership and management of organization development functional areas and of organization development programs at major universities, a Fortune 500 company, a 12,000-employee public-sector organization, and as an independent performance consultant.

He has broad experience in the design and implementation of organizational development interventions, including simulations. He has created, developed, and led teams of internal consultants and trainers. He has successfully coached and facilitated teams to improve team performance and solve problems.

He presently teaches regularly as an adjunct faculty member at St. Edward’s University in the both the Ed.D. Leadership in Higher Education and the Master of Science in Leadership and Change programs in the School of Leadership Development and Education. He has taught as an adjunct professor for over 10 years at St. Edward’s in these and other graduate programs.

While Manager of Organization Development for the City of Austin, Texas, he led a small team of internal consultants who worked with the City Manager’s Office, City-sponsored public groups,  and at all levels of more than 30 City departments.

He is adept at functioning effectively in chaotic and complex environments, of being both honest and optimistic with clients in his consulting and coaching, and in helping individuals maximize their potential and reach their goals. His clients and his graduate students consistently provide superlative feedback on the quality of his work.

His PhD is from the Ohio State University, College of Education, Department of Curriculum and Foundations.
