Promote a respect for life.
Although respect-for-life is a topic that tends to be associated with specific issues that sometimes can politically divide people, Respect Life at St. Edward's is an attitude and way of life. Respect for life is rooted in the belief that the dignity of the human person is the foundation of a moral vision for society.
The goals of the Pierle Scholar are to:
- Create spaces for conversation and discussion about what it means to respect life.
- Plan events, programs, and initiatives that educate on and promote a deeper respect for life.
- Support and promote other events, programs, and initiatives from groups on- and off-campus.
- Self-educate on issues of respect life in the local community and beyond.
