Schedule and Registration

Do I need to register? 
Yes, all guests for Alumni Weekend 2023 will need to register to gain admittance for most events. The only exceptions are the Women's Softball games, Sunday Mass, and events listed with "Separate registration required" on the Schedule and Registration webpage.

What is the cost to register for Alumni Weekend? 
Pre-registration tickets are available until Thursday, Apr. 20 for $95. Same-day tickets are $115. 

When can I register? 
Registration will open Friday, Feb. 24, 2023.

What if I don't pre-register? 
We will be accepting same-day registration on Friday, Apr. 21 and Saturday, Apr. 22.

What do tickets for Alumni Weekend include? 
The cost of Alumni Weekend tickets covers access to all weekend experiences, including food, complimentary soft drinks and two complimentary adult beverages, the Alumni Weekend T-shirt, and much more. 

What is the refund policy? 
A 100% refund for registration is available until Friday, Apr. 13, seven days before Alumni Weekend activities begin. 

To request a refund, log-in to your Eventbrite account with the email address you used to purchase a ticket. Go to "Tickets" in your account. Select the ticket you'd like refunded. Click "Request a refund." Enter your details and submit your request. 

Click "Contact the Organizer" if you don't see the refund request option, or if you have a question about the status of your refund request.

Golden Guard and Reunions

What is the Golden Guard? 
Golden Guard is a celebration for alumni who celebrating more than fifty years since graduation. The Class of 1973 will be inducted into the Golden Guard during a ceremony at this year's Golden Guard Breakfast.

Will other reunion classes be celebrated? 
Yes. We are honoring reunion classes by decade: 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and Graduates Of the Last Decade (GOLD alumni) from the Class of 2010 to the Class of 2022. Alumni are encouraged to attend the Alumni Picnic where reunion classes will have reserved tables so classmates may reconnect.

Transportation and Parking

How do I get to campus? 

    From Loop 1 (Mopac) / Ben White Boulevard

  • From southbound Loop 1 (Mopac), exit at Loop 360. Stay on Loop 360 when it changes to Highway 71 East. 
  • Exit at South Congress Avenue
  • Turn left on South Congress Avenue
  • Turn right on Woodward Street. Our campus is just ahead on the left. 
  • Turn left at the first campus entrance, Andre Drive. 

    From Interstate Highway 35 

  • From southbound IH-35, take the Woodward Street exit (number 231). 
  • From northbound IH-35, exit at Ben White Boulevard. Remain on the access road until you reach Woodward Street.
  • Head west on Woodward Street. The campus is ahead on the right.
  • Turn right at the second campus entrance, Andre Drive. 

 

Where can I park on campus? 
All visitors to campus need to register their vehicles to obtain a free guest e-Permit. The e-Permit allows you to park in any Standard (green), Economy (yellow) and Faculty (black) lots. Please do not park in the Admission (blue) or Reserved (orange) lots. Lot locations are illustrated on this downloadable and printable Campus Parking Map

Health and Safety Guidelines

Are there on-campsu health and safety guidelines regarding COVID-19? 
Proof of vaccination is not necessary for Alumni Weekend attendees. Mask wearing is optional. Learn more about SEU's full Healthy Hilltop policies.

General Information

Is there a dress code for Alumni Weekend? 

  • Alumni Honors and Golden Guard are recommended for Business Casual attire.
  • Sunday Mass is recommended for Sunday Best attire.
  • Toppers Up, Party Down is recommended for Party attire.
  • Legacy Walk, Alumni Picnic, Campus Impact Tours and other outdoor events are recommended for Comfortable attire. 

May I use the Fitness Center within the Recreation and Athletic Center (RAC) during Alumni Weekend? 
No. At this time, only students, faculty and staff are able to use the Fitness Center. 

Will the Bookstore be open? 
Yes. The St. Edward's University Bookstore is located in Fondren Hall and will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can also purchase items from the Bookstore online.

Is childcare available during Alumni Weekend? 
No. There will not be childcare available. 

May I bring my pets to campus? 
Domestic animals are not permitted in St. Edward's University buildings. Exceptions to this policy are:

  • Certified and approved assistance animals, which may be permitted in university residences only 
  • Service animals
  • Any animal employed by the programs of the university

To ensure that the weekend's events are enjoyable and safe for all, pet owners are required to have their animals on leash at all times, to be in control of their animals, and to ensure that their animals are not disruptive or destructive while on the university campus. Pet owners also need to be prepared to clean up and dispose of their animal's waste.
