Join Mary Moody Northen Theatre, the award-winning producing arm of the St. Edward’s University Department of Performing Arts, as we kick off our 45th anniversary season with Eugène Ionesco’s Rhinoceros.
A peaceful Sunday morning in a provincial French café is shattered when a Rhinoceros charges through the town square. Soon, more and more rhinoceroses appear, and it becomes clear that people are turning into animals. As the bizarre epidemic spreads, those still standing on two legs desperately debate who will succumb next and why. Smart, funny and brilliantly absurd, Ionesco’s most famous play explores individualism and the pull to run with the herd.
Featuring guest artists Marc Pouhé and David Stahl.
