Dr. Lock is Associate Vice President for General Education and Professor of University Studies.

She has served in a number of administrative roles at St. Edward's University, including Interim Dean of University Programs and Capstone Director.  Her research focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning, as well as on 19th- and 20th-century American literature and culture.  She is particularly interested in the American West, including the work of writers such as George Sessions Perry, Mollie E. Moore Davis, and John Graves, as well as Texas music and dance culture.
