Dr. Lock is Professor of University Studies and Director of General Education.

Dr. Lock directs the general education program at St. Edward's University.  Her research focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning, as well as on 19th- and 20th-century American literature and culture.  She is particularly interested in the American West, including the work of writers such as Mollie E. Moore Davis, Jovita Gonzalez, and John Graves, as well as Texas music and dance culture. Dr. Lock has served in a number of administrative roles at St. Edward's University, including Interim Dean of University Programs and Capstone Director.
