Team Leads are individuals who assist in facilitating a small group of students during the SERVE 1 Day projects. Team Leads will be assigned a group of students whom they will be responsible for and available to, to answer questions, provide guidance, lead reflection and build rapport. In addition to leading a small group, Team Leads will also assist with the set-up and clean-up of the SERVE 1 Day project. Team Leads should be passionate about service, have strong leadership skills, be good communicators, and set a good example.
SERVE Austin Leaders
SERVE Austin leaders serve as a conduit between participants, staff at the organization, and the Office of Community Engagement. The program focuses on developing existing participants into leadership roles through an increase in responsibilities to their sites and groups. Some of the responsibilities of leaders include: keeping accurate records of attendance, leading reflections, and helping at socials.
