Get involved through service.

At the beginning of each semester, St. Edward’s hosts the Nonprofit & Volunteer Fair. Attendees at the fair can expect to interact with nonprofit organizations from the Austin community, university-sponsored student organizations that focus on serving the community, and domestic and international post-graduate volunteer opportunities.  Representatives promote volunteer opportunities, internships, and possible jobs within their organizations.

Fall Fair

With the beginning of the academic year, the fall Nonprofit & Volunteer Fair is the larger event with more participating organizations. This is a great time to look for that new volunteer opportunity or gain valuable experience in an internship. If you are graduating in May, you may want to stop by and visit with some of the organizations offering post-graduate opportunities. This event takes place mid-September.

Some organizations in attendance included:

Alliance for Catholic Education
Amate House
American YouthWorks
Caritas of Austin
Colorado Vincentian Volunteers
Kinds in a New Groove
Ronald McDonald House Charities
Side by Side Kids

Spring Fair

The Nonprofit & Volunteer Fair in the spring tends to be a little smaller with a greater focus of nonprofits in the local community.  The spring Nonprofit & Volunteer Fair takes place early February.  A list of organizations in attendance will be updated closer to the date of the event.
