Welcome to CAMP!

îBienvenidos!  The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) is dedicated to serving the higher education needs of migrant students at St. Edward's University.  Through CAMP, you have the opportunity to achieve your dream of a college education. Because CAMP is funded by both the U.S. Department of Education and St. Edward's, we follow federal definitions for migrant and seasonal farmwork.  To qualify for CAMP you must meet the admission requirements for St. Edward's, be a U.S. citizen or a legal resident.

CAMP has assisted more than 2,800 students since 1972, with 35 new CAMP students selected each year to bring their passions, talents, and desires to make a difference to the hilltop.  Students accepted to CAMP receive financial, academic and moral support in their first year in order to build a good foundation leading to a baccalaureate degree.

After the freshman year, our commitment does not end.  We take pride in providing our students with continuing support throughout their time at St. Edward's.  Often the first generation in their family to attend college, CAMP students are welcomed to the hilltop by a supportive team dedicated to helping them succeed from  the very beginning.  For many, the CAMP office at the university becomes their "segunda casa."
